In our test we ran each program on several PCs in which we had already "planted" different registry infections... so we could find out exactly which registry cleaner programs were able to remove different kinds of infections cleanly and thoroughly on different kinds of computer systems.
Our results were quite surprising. We found that many registry cleaners simply did not do the job. Over and over again we saw these so-called registry cleaner products leave bits and pieces---and in some cases almost ALL---of the errors on our different systems.
